Week 6 Hello! So this week has been pretty uneventful besides gala day and a considerable amount of school work and assignments. Today I literally did nothing besides finish my chemistry DCP. I've still got the CE to go, biology DCP/CE (which apparently is not going to work as noone recorded any quantitative data apparently? I don't even know, I wasn't there), and my last french iop before blocks! As a lot of you know, the Viets have been on a diet and exercising (as well as gym for CAS) for almost a month now and its going great :D here are some food pictures for you to enjoy of what I have been eating recently hehe:
Toast soldiers with egg and tea with milk.
Tuna and water crackers, a banana and green tea
Cucumber, carrot and tuna salad, guacamole and Lebanese bread, and green tea with honeycomb
Egg on baguette and seasoned avocado on baguette, and OJ
Vietnamese vermicelli with cucumber, mint, bean sprouts, beef and OJ
Gala Day
Anyways, so on Thursday, we had gala day! QASMT's sport teams took the day off to compete against other schools in the area. I competed in the girls soccer for gala day which was at Richlands Soccer Centre - the exact same place as last year. When we first hopped on the bus it was so awkward. It was a 60 seat bus but there were only about 22 people (girls soccer and boys basketball) in the actual bus. Anyways, when we got there we realised that this time there was no canteen to buy food and literally no one brought any food except a few pieces of fruit. We versed Indooroopilly State High, Yeronga State High and Corinda State High. Drew the first, lost the second, won the third. Also, please note this is probably the first post where there's pictures of my hair up. You'll notice why I never tie my hair up hahahah.
Might I add, we did considerably fantastic with:
The sky was bad when we got there and I thought it was going to rain which I was ecstatic about. It turned out to be crazy sunny hahaha :(
Figuring out our formation. On the day lawl.
Finishing my banana before I realised there was no canteen
Me looking gross with Mishtah (who was supporting Wear a QA hat day)
Heading off to our first game.
I was tackling a girl in this photo behind the green dude (which you can't see me) and she was wearing spikes and trod onto my right foot. Since I was in defence for the first half of the games, my feet would get trod on heaps of times before switching to midfield. I died.
Hot and sweaty after the first game
In our second game against Yeronga, a girl's calves became intensely cramped and she was screaming and had to be carried off the field to be treated by the ambos. And in another game, a girl got punted right in the face...
Group photo before the last game. We were so extremely tired here. Paige had blood blisters, I had bruises and cuts on my feet, Maddy's calves started cramping up, Ashley's arms were sore etc. and so our formation, our game plan was: 1 striker, all defenders HAHAHAHA. Yeah no we didn't stick to that but yeah. Quite happy with how we finished :)
We could have made it to the finals except for the fact that the finals was on 25th July. For you super keen people out there, you'd know that the 25th is the day of UMAT. So no, QASMT cannot compete. Automatic zero's and 6th place hahahah.
Anyways, this time round I wasn't sore for a whole week afterwards. Was only for the next day and now I'm fine :D am now currently reminiscing songs from my childhood. I just finished dying my hair back to blacky dark brown so I don't look like an Asian Ginny Weasley at formal.
Hope y'all are having a lovely evening. Bon soir! |
