evolution of hair

Hello all! Hope your Saturday was awesome. Spent the day studying chemistry... even though I should be doing my TOK essay which is due this Friday. Ouch on me. Diet is going well, exercises are going well and went on a picnic today with my family! I'll blog about it later because I got inspired by Grace to blog about the evolution of my hair. So basically, my hair has changed a whole heck of a lot since 2007. PLEASE IGNORE MY FACE HAHAHA.

And here is a picture of Perry the Platypus for y'all to enjoy just to hide awkward preview photos.



2007
So this is when everyone began to get side fringes and layers in their hair. I was quite young so I just hopped onto the bandwagon and followed the trend. Lawl, what a big big mistake :|


2008
In this year I became friends with a lot of "tb"'s (asian teeny boppers... refer to Urban dictionary or something for the definition, however don't blame me if it is not entirely accurate). My hair became more choppier as it wasn't layered enough and at one point I had a straight box fringe. Weird, I know.



2009
This year was the last year of my proper "tb" phase. My hair began to annoy me because of the fact that it wasn't choppy/layered enough so I basically became best friends with a hair thinner and thinned my hair down till it was barely there T_T. Made my layers shorter on the top of my head and everything. Even though I regret it, I think this was the period of time in which I was quite proud of my hair because I received a lot of compliments on how """""nice""""" it was.

2010
My hair was quite long here, as I'd grown it out since 2007. Towards the end of the year around July/August, I went for a "trim" in which the hairdresser basically cut all my hair off to my shoulders. After the cut I was so devastated and never wore my hair down for about a month.

2011
Long, tedious process of hair colour and length changing.
  • Hair was still short from last year and so I continued to grow it out.

  • Hair grew out and then I dyed it purple. I really liked it because it wasn't too bright and only super purple in the sun.

  • Dyed hair back to browny black for semi formal in June and hair continued to grow out.

  • Spontaneous hair bleaching during anticipated mock exams in term 3 till it was bright blondey white. Got freaked out and didn't take many pictures - I dyed back early next morning to a tamer blonde and ombre'd out the bottom.
  • Dyed back to a brownish and left it to fade out until February 2012.


2012
I have no idea what is going on with my hair but I think its fine. I was still ranga at this stage since I didn't dye it back! But I dyed it back during March and it's been fading out ever since. I cut off the end at the beginning of the year after I got back from Adelaide and evened out the bottom so that the length was even.

HAIR AS OF CURRENT: (a little bit lighter, this is freshly washed hair from two weeks ago)

AAAAAAND that is all. I need to possibly cut a side fringe for the hair-do I want for formal and dye it back to fade out in time for formal so I'm not an awkward range of ranga, brown and black with regrowth! Haha :)
